Feast of st. Phocas the Gardener, martyr.  Phocas was a gardener who lived at Sinope, on the Black Sea, who aided persecuted Christians during the Diocletianic persecutions.  Patron of gardeners, hospitality, agricultural workers, farmers, sailors, and mariners.
