Feast of St. Sigfrid of Wearmouth, deacon and Abbott, disciple of St. Benedict Biscop, known for his knowledge of Scripture, his temperance, and obedience. Named coadjutor abbot of Jarrow and abbot of Wearmouth on death of St. Erstwine.  He died in 690.
